I had a very emotional first day. From the airport I went straight to the "House of Happiness", where the children greeted me with laughter and hugs. Only two boys were a little reserved.
I ate "ugali" with the children, a corn porridge with green vegetables and a sauce with small, whole, dried fish. The children love it!
At the moment there are 5 meals a day, including a morning snack and afternoon snack – just like we do. After lunch there is a nap break.
After that there is only one thing – the playground, it is the hit!

All children undergo a medical check before moving in. They came to the orphanage with only used clothes, so Moody had to buy some clothes two days ago. But the children will soon be getting more clothes, and we are expecting a full six suitcases in the next few days. There are already a few suitcases here, which I will be sorting over the next few days and distributing the toys and clothes to the children - a rewarding task.
Tomorrow is the big party! The cow has been bought and about 100 people are expected.
