07.01.26 – Back with the children 💛

As many of you already know, I'm back with the children! And as always, there are creative hairstyles, beaming faces, and lots of energy. We also welcomed our 44th child – a great joy for everyone!

Developmental steps and patience

A child who had to wear leg braces for a long time has finally been rid of them. When walking, the child still sways noticeably from side to side – either out of habit or because something might not be quite right with their hips yet. We'll keep you posted!

The important thing is: he can now move around much better and is enjoying his newfound freedom. Even though everything takes time – progress is visible and he's overjoyed 😁

Community, care, and a little bit of television

The children have fun, laugh a lot, and enjoy watching television together from time to time. It's especially lovely to see how much they look out for each other. The older children help the younger ones, and if someone is hurt or has trouble eating, they receive immediate support. This care is touching and shows how strong the sense of community is here.

Order must prevail – Tanzanian style 😉

We take order very seriously – whether it's with our shoes or in our wardrobe.

Everything is emptied out, thrown on the floor, then carefully folded and put away again. And the most fascinating thing: everyone knows exactly which item of clothing belongs to whom.
