The days seem to be passing faster and faster here 🫢…

The children are back in school this week. During the holidays, they play outside, do puzzles inside, draw pictures, or paint each other's fingernails 🫢🤪. Singing is always a big hit – and even the youngest already knows many of the lyrics by heart.

On Sundays, we regularly get visits from local families who bring food. Last Sunday, there was even a special soda that turns tongues pink and purple – the kids couldn't stop laughing! 😄

First group session with the child psychologist

The first group session with the child psychologist recently took place. He engaged the children in a playful way and immediately captivated them. It was impressive to see how attentively and enthusiastically everyone participated.

Preparations for school

To ensure everything was ready for Monday, all the notebooks were rebound and the school supplies prepared. Everyone was really looking forward to it – even though some probably wished the holidays could have lasted a little longer. 😉

An extraordinary surprise visit

Last Sunday we had a very special visit: A long-time Tanzania traveler who supports a foundation for Maasai came to see us unexpectedly with four Maasai – they even traveled 100 km by public bus just to bring joy to the children, and then went back again!

But that wasn't all: An acrobat, a contortionist, and a clown put on a 1.5-hour show – the children were absolutely thrilled! Afterwards, everyone danced and sang until no one could stand still. Moments like these are pure joy.

And for me personally, there was another highlight: a traditional braided loaf baked in a wood-fired oven – absolutely amazing! 😍

We feel incredibly blessed: We receive so many visitors, support, and unforgettable experiences.
